NOSCO rhymes with Lascaux
NOSCO is located in the Dordogne in the Eyzies de Tayac, the world capital of prehistory. At the crossroads between Périgueux, Sarlat la Canéda, Montignac Lascaux and Le Bugue, this village of Périgord Noir is an essential place of passage for all lovers of human history, but also for lovers of beautiful landscapes offered by the river Vézère, the cliffs overlooking the valley, the cave habitats, the castle of Commarque, the shelter of Cro Magnon… Specifically, NOSCO is located on Rue du Moulin, halfway between the National Museum of Prehistory and the International Prehistoric Pole. After your activities of the day, visit Ingarlat or a canoe ride for example, come and enjoy the terrace offering a beautiful view of the cliffs opposite the village.
NOSCO means in Latin “I’m getting to know”
NOSCO is not just a WINE BAR. It’s not a restaurant or bistro either. NOSCO is a friendly table where you can taste local products selected for their quality as well as wines from all over France meticulously chosen by a passionate professional. It is also a place where you can learn many things about wine through courses and tastings.
NOSCO is also the anagram of CONSO
Founded in 2018, NOSCO aims, without any pretensions, to propose a return to a healthier, more local, more natural consumption. For greater transparency, all suppliers are shown on the map. Although many of the products presented are organic or reasoned, NOSCO does not essentially promote these values.
Our services
Drinking
Nosco offers a wine list carefully selected according to their quality and specificity. The wine list evolves regularly to introduce you to an eclectic selection of French wine heritage.
On the menu we also offer appetizers, local beers, organic fruit juices, sodas and hot drinks.
To eat
To accompany your drink, or simply to fill your belly healthily, you can enjoy plates of local products we have selected : “tartines”, salads, desserts and dishes of the day and during the low season raclette and soups . You can find the different suppliers on the menu of our wine bar.
Wine workshops
Nosco Bar offers three workshops that take place on site:
- Nosco Vinum to get to know the wine (1h30 – 30 – 1 to 8 people.)
- Nosco Gustus to learn to taste the wine (1h30 – 35 – 2 to 8 people.)
- Nosco Hamonia to learn how to combine food and wine (2h00 – 50 – 2 to 6 people.)
